Device- "Hanging on a heart attack" http://www.youtube.com/wa...iR4QA6btT8
They dont make videos like this anymore LOL. This is some sort of high tech AOR/poppy new wave? So much mid 80's pop sounds so dated LOL Shame the album, "22b3" does not live up to the single. Not a bad album though. Holly Knight went on to be a songwriter for hire, whilst lead singer Paul Engemann went into Animotion for 1 album, but is best remembered for that song from "scarface" called "Push it to the limit" (or something like that). I love that dudes voice.

Love that breakdown into the short guitar solo. Love melodic guitar solos period. What happened to them
Who says solos have to be technical or uber loud thrashing? The short but sweet sounding solo is particually striking as the song was in the era of endlessly samey super fast Van Halen ripoff solo's. Production is killer on this song.

Yeah always loved it, still have my vinyl of it, the production reminded me alot of Kim Wilde's lost album "Teases and Dares" "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Really? Mike Chapman produced Device's album. Iam pretty sure he produced Blondie's albums, but I could be wrong? Anyway, Chrysalis (remember them ) obviously bankrolled some money into the album. The image, production, even the band themselves looked promising. This sorta music probably looked like the future in 1986 I got the cd, which is getting collectable these days apparantly?
