Yeah, I love this song. I remember a few years ago, a local Bay Area station (KMEL) did a great segment playing several hip hop songs and their original inspirations back to back.
I just did a similar thread after finding the song that Mos Def sampled for "Brown Sugar." Maybe there should be an official thread for something like this (especially for the less main stream samples.) U finnaly found that one? After I found the sample I went and got the signle for "Open Your Eyes".  Now I like the real song more than Commons.
