I have the one David mentioned. I just about crapped my pants when it first came out, because I had no idea there was such a thing! Is the promotion MAW 12" mix different than the commercial one?

Indeed...i like the driving mechanical beat, pulsatig...very hypnotic.

Though technically Kraftwerk were the very first.

I agree, it still stands the test of time...Donna was inducted into the Rock & Roll hall of fame for the song.

She's not in there yet. She's among this year's nominees.

While I can appreciate the importance of "I Feel Love" and it's impact,it is actually one of my least favorite songs by her boxed I feel like this is basically Giorgio Moroder's masterpiece. We all know that Donna is a powerful vocalist but on this song, there is no trace of what's she capable of.

I agree that vocally she's sort of calling it in but the same can be said of Love to Love You Baby. She's just whispering and moaning on there, but I love the hell out of it. lol I Feel Love isn't my fave by her but I like it a lot. It's a simple, driving, calculated dance song and it works.

"I Feel Love" and "Sunset People" are my two favorite Donna Summer songs. Of course, everyone knows I'm more into music than singing anyway. Most of my favorite artists are males but I do love a few female artists also. However, 95% of the female artists I like are the creation of men anyway so I guess Georgio Moroder is the one I really love. Behind every great woman is a great man and a woman with too much input on the record, usually puts out some weak "I love you" type stuff (most of the time). Put a man behind her and he'll turn her into what I love....a whore. lol

My favorite Donna Summer song is "Bad Girls".I think that's also the best disco song, period. It's catchy as hell and funkier than most of her other songs from that period.

Look out for the Glenn Underground mix of "I Feel Love"...if you Google you'll find a number of remixes. This tracks seems very popular in DJ sets.
