It will have to be TOSHIKI KADOMATSU "AFTER 5 CLASH" I spent £50.00 which is about $100.00. I am bad this way, but if there is good Funk involved, I am weak.
I also bought a limited double LP of Frank Zappa best hits which was about £40.00/$80.00.
I highly recommend a website which has a very large selection of music, it is called discogs, collectors and DJs are selling their stuff, it works on the same system as Ebay but it is only about music.
Here is the link: http://www.discogs.com
Enjoy cool

I'm embarassed to admit this, but in 1989 I paid a small fortune for a vinyl copy of Prince's 'Black Album' nuts At the time,I assumed that it would never be officially released.

Off the top of my head...

I've paid approx. 60$ for a still sealed copy of the 'Parade' picturedisc.
I don't remember exactly how much, but I paid something around 80-100$ for a copy of 'The Gold Experience' on vinyl.
'Round 40$ for Brother To Brother's 'In The Bottle'.
50$ for a copy of James Brown's 'Hot'.
35$ on James Brown's 'Bodyheat'.

You can always make more money, but most records I'm looking for are out of print. Thus, I'm happy spending my money on music, as long as I like what I'm buying.

damosuzuki

I paid $40.00 for a mint copy of PiL's Metal Box back in '87. I copied it once onto a cassette, never played it again and it remains in perfect shape. I'm not sure what it's going for these days, but I recall hearing that a copy in good condition would fetch $100+ on ebay a few years back - not that I'd ever sell it.

I also paid $70.00 for a Japanese boxed set of the first seven Clash singles on 45 RPM vinyl in '88 or so that's never been played. I've never been able to find it on any collector sites, so I'm not sure if it has any value now.
