Brand New MORRISSEY Single in January!

Morrissey is set to release a greatest hits album in early 2008.

The 15-track collection, out February 4, will be proceeded by the release of brand new single 'That's How People Grow Up' on January 28.

The song was produced by Jerry Finn who produced 2004's comeback LP 'You Are The Quarry', and will be backed by live versions of:
'The Last Of The Famous International Playboys',
'The Boy With The Thorn In His Side'
and 'Why Don't You Find Out For Yourself'.

The former Smiths singer is currently working on a new studio album with Finn, which he is planning to release in the autumn of next year.

Another greatest hits album? Oooh great! It'll sit right next to the last two, plus the complete EMI singles box set collections. Totally unnecessary, and, at 15 tracks, too short. He should just release a new album.

I hope that he has found a new composer ( or an ancient one like Stephen Street or Mark Nevin) because nothing that I've heard of the last album was really memorable.

WHAT! Did you not listen to "Dear God, Please Help Me",
"In The Future When All's Well",
"Life Is A Pigsty",
"At Last I Am Born"
or any of the B-sides: "Ganglord" or "Good Looking Man About Town"
These are all up (or down) there with the best of his earlier work with Street/Nevin.

Sorry- that was my Morrissey rant for the day wink
