Bow Wow gave his camp a scare Thursday night when the 20-year-old rapper had to be rushed to a Cincinnati hospital after his concert performance at the U.S. Bank Arena.
Bow is said to be doing well but is still in the hospital undergoing tests. His record company, Sony Music, said in a statement on Friday (December 7) that the young superstar appears to be suffering from "stress and exhaustion."

Not only has Bow been one of the top-line acts on his current tour with Chris Brown, Sean Kingston, Soulja Boy, Lil Mama and others, but he's also been all over the world during the past few months promoting Face Off, his joint LP with Omarion, which drops Tuesday.

The tour hits Chicago on Friday night, but Bow will not be cleared to take the stage, according to Sony.

"He loves them and will be sure to come back to Chicago soon!" his company said of what Bow wants to express to fans.

Bow is expected to return to the tour very shortly, and as an added bonus, Omarion will be joining the tour on some select dates, which have yet to be announced. If you listen to the duo's new LP, you can expect Bow and O to hit the road with a full show of their own in 2008. On the title track, Bow proclaims, "Rest in peace to the Scream Tour. It's the Face Off tour next summer."

here's the real reason why according to mediatakeout:

December 10, 2007. Last week, MediaTakeOut.com told you that rapper Bow Wow was rushed to the hospital after a performance in Cincinnati, Ohio. Now we know why. According to a well placed source, Bow Wow injured himself while throwing a temper tantrum in his dressing room.

An insider with the tour spoke EXCLUSIVELY to MediaTakeOut.com and told us exactly what went down. According to that insider, Bow Wow was scheduled to close the show in his hometown of Cincinnati. But tour promoters decided to rearrange the schedule at the last minute and move Chris Brown to the "closer" spot.

And Bow Wow was not at all pleased with their decision. The insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "[Bow Wow] got really upset and trashed his dressing room ... everything was torn apart. And somehow he must have hurt himself doing it."

The following night, Bow Wow sat out the concert's Chicago tour date. The insider explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "I'm not sure if it was because of [his injuries] or his bruised ego, but he wasn't there in Chicago ... It was cool though. The crowd didn't miss him one bit because Chris Brown killed it."

What's going on with all this tour beef. First it was Keyshia Cole acting up. Then it was R Kelly (with NeYo), then Rihanna (with Ciara) and now Bow Wow. Can't we all just get along....

Editor's Update - Early this afternoon Bow Wow's camp sent out a press release claiming that Bow Wow was hospitalized due to an infection in his appendix. Despite what his camp says, MediaTakeOut.com stands by its initial report that Bow Wow was hospitalized as a result of injuries he received while destroying his dressing room.

that is probably why many singers just tour by themselves. less drama. I can't believe keisha cole was upset about her tour.

so if he is exhauseted, how are some able to tour different cities and perform 4-5 times per week for a year? What is the secret.

iiilllll i don't like bow wow like that.... but i do love his songs... he has some of the best rap songs out in the 2000's. He is the only rap artist i can tolerate
