I just got The Dream's new cd LOVE/HATE. Sounds like a cross between Ne-Yo vocally and Prince's drum pattern. A little more ghetto but just check out a few of the song titles.

I love Falsetto and Fast Car, I almost considered buying it cause the beats are awesome, but his lyrics haven't impressed me much, and his vocals are too robotic for the most part, though he's had good moments too.

he's a definite prince fan. i heard him doing an interview on the radio and he said that wanted to work with prince. i was thinking, what in the world would he expect to do with prince. prince wouldn't sing anything he wrote.

That "Shawty is a 10" song sounds like that "Soulja Girl" song.

The Dream was on Wendy Williams today and I didn't realize that he wrote "Umbrella" and "Mary J Blige's "Just Fine". Homeboy sure loves repeating himself in his songs. That's the most annoying part of the songs. If I have to hear anybody else sing "Umbrella Ella Ella Eh Eh Eh" one more time, I'm gonna spit on someone.

After getting Under The Cherry Moon, I can totally hear where these guys get their sound from. Too bad they don't have the same creativity to pull it off like Prince does...
