Fred Astaire - Puttin on the Rittz

"When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really donĀ“t like the idea that he could have it all."

Thanks for sharing this dag! You can really see just how much of an influence Fred Astaire was on Michael Jackson.

Damn, this guy was good. He makes it look so easy. If only it was.

Yes, I agree. Fred had some smooth feet, they just glided across the floor.Don't forget the Fayard and Harold Nicholas, known as the famous Nicholas Brothers, who were also an influence on MJ as well.

Also, in the UTCM movie, you can see some similarities with one of the scenes in the movie. I can't post the youtube clip of the Nicholas Brothers doing their dance where they are dancing on the tables and sliding across the banister, (since I don't have access to it at work)but they were awesome dancers as well. . They played a clip of the Nicholas Brothers at the 3121 Club in Vegas as well.
