I had no idea "crazy" by Icehouse made top 40? I love that song. Also "valerie"? Was this a remix, as that song came out in the early 80's? Great song, but 1987? And I agree with ripher2shreds, that live version of "candle in the wind" is awesome. Yeah, it was originally on the 1982 release Talking Back to the Night and slightly remixed for the 1987 greatest hits release, Chronicles.

I Don't Mind At All * Bourgeois Tagg *(Favorite song in this group) I had to give this one a listen, because I didn't recognize it from the title. Reminds me of early 80s era Paul McCartney. Dislike:
I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man * Prince Awww...that's in my top 5 Prince singles.

I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man * Prince Awww...that's in my top 5 Prince singles. Todd Rundgren produced the Bourgeois Tagg album that single came from. The Prince tune sounds a bit like a When You Were Mine rewrite. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I dunno, diverse? How many of those artists in the top 20 are nonwhite? The thing is though...all these songs were in the TOP 40! When was the last time you heard people like Bruce Springsteen, George Harrison, Michael Jackson, Prince, Def Leppard, Heart, Stevie Wonder, and Jody Watley on the SAME radio station?? I remember hearing all these without having to turn the station! That kind of mix simply doesn't exist anymore. I think radio was MUCH more diverse back in the 80s.

Diverse in a sense of the music in these artists, everything is not always black/white alot of this "white" music on here has more "soul" than the current state of RB today, Inxs knew more about FUNK and DANCE music than Usher,Ne-yo,R kelly and others put together. Exactly it seems today in a time where people say things are more "free of boundaries" there are more boundaries than ever. And also look at the average age of these people on this chart, and also these artists were releasing REAL singles that cost what 2-3 bucks at that time, and they still could get people to buy their albums for the most part.
