ZZ Top - "La Grange" ZZ Top - Tres Hombres I may have to get this album. I've never really liked songs like Legs, Sharp Dressed Man and their other '80s hits. The whole package at that point was too gimmicky for me. But I only recently heard this song and instantly had to . Any one familiar with this album? allmusic.com gave it a great write up. If the rest of it's along these lines, I'm going to pick it up.

La Grange...
Go for it. Great album from that "Little Ol' Band from Texas". (You'll hear the tune played with guitars that are in tune ) The standout for me is the... ...Waitin' For The Bus/Jesus Just Left Chicago sequence. (Used to play this in a cover band many moons ago.) tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 [Edited 12/7/07 19:57pm] "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Hell yeah dude, La Grange is kick ass. and tA mentions the other two songs that are kick ass also, Waitin' For The Bus & Jesus Just Left Chicago.
Legs & Sharped Dressed Man and Give Me All Your Lovin' are from the video era, I dig'em. TV Dinners was not as successful as those three, but was one of my favs to listen to from the album.

Tres Hombres is a monster album! My fave on there is Precious And Grace. It absolutely fucking rocks. Queens Of The Stone Age recently covered it on their Lullabies To Paralyze album where Billy Gibbons sings it with Mark Lanegan. The whole Of Tres Hombres is magnificent.
