I heard this randomly at a Verizon store a few months back and didn't realize until the song was over that I had been singing out loud in front of customers the whole time. That's how much I was into it. redface

I love it, too. Although it was released in late '90, it's basically a '91 song (peaked in late March). Love "Piece of My Heart," too. music

nod Hold You Tight & Piece Of My Heart were the jams of the '90.

BTW, where the hell is Tara Kemp now? And why did she leave the music industry after only one album? The girl had talent.

Uh Eh. The cd had two songs and the rest was wack. I bought
it out of a dollar store in 93. Listened for a few weeks and
got rid of it.

Peace of My Heart was hot. She could have kept the rest.

And did I hear somewhere that Rosie Gaines was once her musical mentor? Anyone else heard this?

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Stop nitpicking! lol

Hold You Tight was good. Piece of My Heart was pretty identical to it, but I didn't like it as much.

My two favorite songs during that time were "Hold You Tight" by Tara Kemp and "What Comes Naturally" by Sheena Easton. I really liked Sa-Fire's CD that came out in '91 (I no longer have it) and Vanessa Williams' THE COMFORT ZONE.

That's what's so great about it! "They liked it so much, I'll change a few things and release it again." (See also: Brian McKnight's "Anytime" and "The Only One for Me") lol
