Thanks for saying that. I couldn't have said it better myself. That isn't the first time that was reported. Don't think some on the org will believe it unless they actually read and see for themselves NO TRACES OF JD ON THE CD. lol

Wasn't involved on the last one...until we saw he co-produceded and had shout outs on the weaker tracks! So we still don't know until it comes out!

What are you talking about? It was always known that JD was working on 20 Y.O.

Kwame, Jam & Lewis, the Avila Bros, Kanye West and Dallas Austin were working on tracks for Janet. Somehow JD convinced Janet to let him get all on it.

Jam & Lewis and The Avila Bros. appeared on the album.

Janet has cut tracks with a shitload of producers for every album since The Velvet Rope. Of course not all of them make the final cut. Her work with Pharrell has never seen the light of day. I was not a big fan of Kanye or Dallas' contributions to Damita Jo, so I doubt their results would have yielded anything better for 20 Y.O.

According to an article in the Mississagua News, Blake McGrath has had to reschedule an appearance at a local dance workshop in order to take part in the filming of a new music video for the first single off of Janet's new album, reported to be released this February.

Blake's appearance at The Dance Element workshop, in Milton, Ontario, originally scheduled for next week, has been moved to December 18 to allow for his presence at the filming.

No official announcements have been made about the video, album, single, or filming location. As noted earlier this week however, Janet was spotted in Manhattan having dinner with producer L.A. Reid.

So no news on a single, video, album or location...but a video IS being filmed? lol

I just hope that this time, Janet leave out her sexual exploits and get back to the dance pop/rnb that made her. No more titty shots and no shithop please. She should follow Madonna and make a good dance cd. Cater to the clubs, not TRL or 106 and Park.

I agree with that.. NOT with that madonna crap... I truely believe janet does have better songs... and even though it seems people aren't as interested in her as they are madonna.. does NOT mean she should follow madonna... it WILL not work for JJ....

I want her to stay away from rated R lyrics in her songs... i know she is going to have something sexual in her songs... which is ANNOYING.. and gross.. but if she uses imagery/metaphors and I can interpret the lyrics the way i want to then I will be okay wink ....and all i care about is if I like the music she makes... so i hope she has those nice dance tracks.. and slow love songs...
I didn't mean for Janet to make an techno type album like Madonna, I just want Janet to make me shake my ass they way she used to. If I choose to hear a cd about blowjobs, I will play "Hardcore" by Lil Kim.

Oh, gosh! Follow Madonna!?
There two different artist!
If she wanted to follow Madonna, which apparently she could care less about doing whether some can get with that or not, she would've done that years ago.
Jeez!
If anything, where again some can get with that or not, she should continue to please herself first, the same as Madonna!
Follow, Madonna?!
Then, some will say,"Oh! Look! See! She's following Madonna! See! She's not innovative afterall!" lol
Screw the bs! Do you, Janet! wink

You must not be much of a Prince fan if you are easily grossed out by explicit lyrics (he wasn't always religious), but like Prince, it is time for Janet to evolve from that and get back to doing what put her on the charts in the first place. With today's hip hop and rock music, singing about sex and lacing songs with four letter words are no longer shocking, it's following.

You know what the interesting thing about Janet's music is?
She's not in just one category.
Some prefer her to do pop. Some prefer her to do R&B and slow jams.
Some even like her to dabble into hip hop.
She can do and does different genres of music.
I like that she's not in to one main category.
The ONLY problem with THAT is, she won't be able to please everyone. She just won't.
Some will dig her shit and some will be disappointed as usual.
Some just want to dance to her shit and some are looking for a message in her songs.
For those reasons above, gosh! I wish her luck! eek

Wasn't involved on the last one...until we saw he co-produceded and had shout outs on the weaker tracks! So we still don't know until it comes out! I won't believe it until I read it on the CD. I just hope whoever worked on this disc realize Janet is much stronger making hip pop records, not trying to work with the mess that is now R&B unless she is doing strong slow to midtempo jams. Until it comes out, we ALL have to wait and hear.

What are you talking about.. From the beginning of the recording process of 20 Y.O. JD was known to be heavily involved... In fact all of the the news we heard about that album was coming from JD.... He said that he's handling Mariah's Cd and LA Reid is handling Janet's..

Really? Because I remember it being that she was working with a bunch of people into it was JD infecting himself on the actual production!
