broadway. if i want to act, i want to ACT, and not have to pose or stand around for a perfect shot. i think a lot of talent has to go into film acting, but i prefer live acting in front of an audience.

I would probably act in the General Discussion forum and not in Music: Non-Prince.

Broadway is too elitist. I think it's a crying shame that more Broadway performances are available on video. At least let us poor shmoes in B.F.E. see a filmed performance of the show after it shuts down. Instead, we get crappy Hollywood versions that just don't do the shows justice. I'd rather see Michael Crawford's "Phantom" performance than that crappy throw-away film version.

I'm really just bitter that I'll never get to see Christine Ebersole in "Grey Gardens."

Considering if it hadn't been for you, I'd have never heard of fucking "Grey Gardens." And now it's going to be featured on my "Favorite Things" episode. Lois Wright's book turned out to be HIGHLY entertaining, btw.

With live peformances, your talent has to be raw and uncut. And if you miss a line then, you better learn to adlib.

Yep, me too. I totally respect anyone who can get up in front of an audience and act and do it well too.
