I've been saying that for years,,,but for an obvious reason he got a way with it; it STILL sounds fresh.
But if you wanna talk about influences, lets mention the rest: Innocent sounds abit like Get It Up from the Times, Whats Missing sounds like what Kashif would've done in 82/83 and If You Were Here Tonight sounds alot like Grover Washington Jr.'s paradise. LOVE that album though, the best from 85 along with Rene & Angela's Street Called Desire | |

Only that one little part sounds like 17 days.
" a a a a broken heart can mend." That song doesn't even need that part really. On a whole, it sounds nothing like "17 days". It's a hot song. | |
