It's funny how they re-did the cover with Ms. Ross way up in the front. This movie got horrible reviews when it came out back in the day.
It would be nice if they had updated interviews with Diana and Micheal and unseen footage on the making of the movie.

I can't help but to imagine what would Stephanie Mills have done, had she taken the leading role instead of Miss Diane
I'm not even sure whats her take on the movie or why she wasn't offered the role. I do remember however that she took alot of heat for playing Dorothy and that the critics slammed her as "ugly" and that Judy Garaland should've came back from the dead and SLAP her

For this movie,I think they should have used a younger actress.Diana Ross looked ridiculous trying to play a 15-year old girl
Then again,in 'Grease',most of those actors are much older than 17,lol.

Then again,in 'Grease',most of those actors are much older than 17,lol. I never got that. Now get it...she was Diana and it was Motown, right? I was watching it, I'm like "Is she supposed to be playing a young girl"? Distracting. Not terrible musically.

I was just telling my wife about this movie the other day. She'd never heard of it. I watched it when I was about 8 years old, and I've never really seen any other reference to it, but it holds fond memories. I may have to watch it again, although I'm sure it won't be as fun as I remember it being...

She wasn't playing a 15-year-old, she was a woman - a school teacher - how many 15-year-old school teachers do you know of? nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher
