Merry Christmas you nasty MFs!

Rufus Thomas.....

I'll slide down your chimney
And bring you lots of joy
What I've got for you mama
It ain't just a toy
You can play with it baby
I'll be your Santa too
Cause when the yule tide's over
I showed you what to do

I'll be your Santa baby

Clarence Carter.....

They call me backdoor Santa
I make my runs about the break of day
I make all the girls happy
While the boys are out to play

? (A blues artist).....

I know there's something real pretty
Under that Christmas tree
I ain't had no lovin' and it's worrying me
Cause Santee Claus want some luuuuuvin'
Do you hear me
Santee Claus want some luuuuvin'

I did't know there was more than one version of it. The version I hear on the radio every year sounds like it was recorded in the 1990s by a blues artist, probably one in my local area.

I heard a Christmas song on the radio yesterday by her and I wasn't surprised that she chose to record one of the boringest Christmas songs ever...."Do You Hear What I Hear". I had to turn the station. lol

nod You know, I was gonna mention the other just slightly slower bluesy version. In fact, it was recorded in '82, by the guy who wrote it; Mack Rice is from Clarksdale, Ms. ..not too far from where my mother was born. Yeah, this song has been recorded by a few artist. Rice penned some tunes @ Stax, and was a recording artist as well.

I found two versions while bopping around emusic, Albert King & Mack Rice. Other funky-ass faves:

Jackson 5 - Up On The Housetop
Otis Redding - Merry Xmas Baby
Carla Thomas - Gee Whiz It's Xmas
Stevie Wonder - What Xmas Means To Me
Smokey Robinson - Xmas Everyday
Treacherous Three - Xmas Rap (not for the faint-hearted)

And incidentally I LOVE Blowfly - has he done a holiday album?

Okay Dammit. Who's been looking in my record collection? This song Backdoor Santa By Clarence Carter happend to be on the Soul Christmas Album. Now for all you classic soul fans, I suggest you get it because it also has Otis Redding, Carla Thomas, Solomon Burke & Booker T & MG's on it.

I like this one:

Pansy Division - Homo Christmas

You'll probably get sweaters
Underwear and socks
But what you'd really like for Christmas
Is a nice hard cock
You deserve a cute boy
Who's horny and queer
To make the most out of Christmas cheer
I wanna be your Christmas present
I wanna be your Christmas queer
I wanna be your Christmas present
Have a homo Christmas this year
Don't be miserable
Like Morrissey
Let me do you
underneath the Christmas tree
We'll push the packages
Out of the way
And after you've unwrapped me
Naked on the floor we'll play
Your family
Won't give you encouragement
But let me give you
Sexual nourishment
Licking nipples
Licking nuts
Putting candy canes
Up each other's butts

I've got that same exact album. "Jingle Bells" by Booker T and the MG's is a funky Christmas favorite of mine.
