Usher's wife is tired of folks bad-mouthing her -- especially black folks! Tameka Foster believes that a lot of the negative criticism she's been receiving is based on African-Americans not being able to get along with each other. Tameka tells Essence magazine, "We (black women) don't like ourselves. If I were Hispanic, Usher would have the sexiest wife alive. If I were mixed, he'd have the sexiest wife alive. But he has a black girl, and it's like, 'She's horrible and she's ugly!' OK, maybe I don't fit the cookie-cutter standard - 25 and a size two - but this is who he loves!"
Foster went on to say that people who have been dissing her should find better ways to spend their time. Usher's wife said, quote: "There are women getting raped in Darfur, young girls being turned out every single day right here in Atlanta. We have bigger issues to worry about than two people in love with each other."
By the way, soul music legend Patti LaBelle considers Tameka Foster to be her "second daughter." Miss Patti told Essence, "Tameka is a pretty black woman who has been married before... but Usher knows her past and he loves her."

I really don't see what wrong with her. I see black girls/women like her all the time and there is no way I look at them and think; "that's so damn ugly!!". So why should I look at a celebrity's wife with similar looks and think she is ugly?

She ain't bad to me, its just that people expect famous, black men to have a certain type of woman on their arm and Usher bucked the trend, some people even black people can't handle that.

Didn't Usher and Tameka start their relationship while she was still married? If that's true, then that in itself makes me more suspicious of Tameka. She would come out as a nasty two timer who might be in for the money. I don't know her but if what I said is true, then she really won't look good.

OMG, another one I agree with. Usher not only married a black woman which is rare these days, but a dark skinned black women, which is SUPER RARE for a famous black man today.

I wish them all of the luck in the world and hope they have lots of babies.

I would say most famous, black men in America still marry black women. I mean most of the rappers are with black women, but they just seem to go for a certain type of black woman.
