You got it twisted; what does she SEE IN HIM?
I've said this a million times, never found this guy attractive the least bit, in fact everytime I see his pix I think of.... Honest to god, what am I missing?

She must be a wonderful person to him and on the inside, because she is really nothing pretty to look at Sorry, I had to say it. I was looking at the Essence photos a couple of days ago and felt the same way What's your opinion? Race has nothing to do with it either, she just looks like a man to me. On Usher's part, he was always into older women. AFAIC, it should be a good thing that there are black men out there that still like dark-skinned sistas, despite the music videos showing otherwise.

Really, what does it matter to the average person what does Usher see in his wife? Was this question asked when Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley were married? What about John Mellencamp and his wife, supermodel Elaine Irwin? I never understood the backlash against this woman, but it must just come from folks who think Usher is something to look at From the neck down he's good, but that little moon head fucker has never been cute to me - he's an attractive man in general though. But back to her, here's at least 2 reasons he'd be with her:
She doesn't look like a man to me. Yea, her shoulders are little big & her jaw is strong but nobody's perfect & he doesn't seem to mind so why should anyone else care? She's not at all ugly, so what's the fuss? Her face is cute & he's obviously smitten. She's older, probably taught him some shit that he can't get enough of. Let them be...

Seriously, did anybody mention race? NO! I simply said she looks like a man to me and that's just my opinion and If Christie looked like a man I'd still say the same thing. Let's not make this into a racial issue because it's not. We have enough to worry about and whether Tameka is dark-skinned or light-skinned really has nothing to do with it.

I didn't say anything about race -- DID I? The only person who has mentioned race has been you. Moreover, I wasn't addressing my comment toward you or anyone, so apparently that is your personal hang-up (and apparent confession). The point I was making is that Billy Joel and John Mellencamp are two otherwise average-looking men who were/are married to supermodels, so if people didn't obsess about those apparent odd couples then why are people so fixated on the fact that Usher married his wife (based on some other people's superficial reasonings, not his logic). Funny, how just my opinion of Tameka's appearance has become a dark/light skinned issue. It wasn't even meant to go that way people Damn! Why do we always have to go to skin tones?

All you're really saying is its rare as hell for a black man (let alone a successful one) to choose a woman of darker skintone than himself.
Her take: We (black women) don’t like ourselves. If I were Hispanic, Usher would have the sexiest wife alive. If I were mixed, he’d have the sexiest wife alive. “But he has a black girl, and it’s like, ‘She’s horrible and she’s ugly!’ OK, maybe I don’t fit the cookie-cutter standard - 25 and a size two - but this is who he loves. Glug, glug like a mug

I just hope for the guy's sake that she's a good woman because marriage takes "GREAT" commitment (Something of which I don't think that guy in particular is ready for. But, who knows?). I think that she's probably a "VERY" loving person and her personality probably clicks/cliques with his like butter on toast. So, why don't we just embrace that part of it all. Ain't it beautiful (To some extent.) that a guy like Usher wouldn't "SEEM" to be so "SUPERFLUOUS". This is where the factor of "PERSONALITY" comes clear and lies beneath and above the surface. There's something about her, I bet. But, in the end, it's none of our business, rather than it is our prerogative to speak of this matter. I just wish them both the best because I wouldn't be in the situation of legal, monogamous bondage, one way or the other. I just don't find it sacred, anymore.....
