Rick wasn't much of a bass player anyways lol
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I just saw Van Halen in Oct and Eddie has not lost any skills. He's still amazing and one of the best IMO.

With EVH... It's a matter of if he is drunk. I saw VH at NC in NY and he was on in the first 10 songs then he was drunk and his solo was horrible. Also I am not so sure he is actually writing anything new that is as great as his old riffs.

I would like to nominate Metallica, with one big exception Rob Trujillo is a stillfantastic bass player, but the remaining members have gone from a PHD level on Masters/Justice to being a high school rock band on their instruments.

randy jackson? Everyone says he's great with instruments and songwriting...why isn't he out producing for others or anything like that?

Are you guessing? Well you're absolutely wrong. I've seen him recently and have current live shows. He plays fine. As a matter-of-fact, his vocals are great.

Is not doing it the same as losing it? I don't really have an interest in him, but he's more into the business end of things. FWIW, check his syndicated radio show and weekly hits list. http://www.rjhitlistonline.com/
