Page Six: Janet will not tour with family

Despite rumors that Janet would join a reunion tour with the Jackson family next year, the New York Post's Page Six is reporting today that Janet will not join the tour but rather is willing to only participate in a few select shows.

No official announcements have been made as to whether Janet will or will not participate in a reunion tour with her family.

Jermaine Jackson confirmed to BBC 6 late last month that his family is in negotiations to do a reunion tour in 2008. While he confirmed in the interview that Michael would be apart of such a tour, he did not mention anything about Janet

Why would Janet have toured with the Jackson Five in the first place? As far as I know, she was never part of that musical group.

She has her own fanbase who are more than willing to go to her solo concerts.

Clearly Page 6 doesn't know her new album is already in the can. lol

Anyway, why the hell would she be involved in the first place?

It is interesting to think Michael is really considering being a part of this mess..

Oh well, I'll support my boy no matter what he decides, but wow.

IF THIS IS TRUE: Maybe he is too timid to go out solo in the US after the trial. Maybe this is testing the waters....

I have a feeling Jermaine is being delusional. neutral How many times has he talked about a Jackson Five reunion tour? How many times has it happened? smile

Michael wanted Janet to be the opening act for the Victory Tour, but the brothers, especially Jermaine and Marlon, opposed it.

Years later, when Janet was doing the Rhythm Nation Tour, guess who asked if he could be the opening act?

Permaine Jackson himself! lol

Jermaine keeps talking but nothing never happens. Jermaine, at least he could be releasing material. Jermaine, the third most successful Jacksons solo artist. Why doesn't he just release and album and go on tour?

Why is JD making Janet's business decisions?

All i know is with ALL of the Jacksons everything is talk, things may be happening here and there, but i will beleive it when they are taking the stage, just like i will believe theres a new album when the thing is in the stores, till then its all TALK from the KINGS and QUEENS of Talk, the Jackson family (though Prince has done his fair share of this too, Roadhouse Garden, recording all his old cds again etc)

If this album is really already done...I'm a little worried. That was waaaaay too fast to cut a JJ LP (at least judging by her standards since 1997). Maybe Island Def/Jam didnt give her the grandiose budget and take-your-time luxury that Virgin used to?

Far as the Jackson tour, is anyone surprised that she aint into it? She's still gonna give it at least one more go - round to try and have a hit song, a hit album, and headline her own arena tour (yikes)- if she fails this time, then I think at least an MJ/JJ tour overseas will NOT be out of the question.

I agree. I wish them all well.
Hell, I wish any artist that has been out for thirty and less years well with touring and what not. smile
