Saul Williams/ Trent Reznor: The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of... Did anyone get this album? "The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust" It's by artist Saul Williams, who does like rap and spoken word, but this album is produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails. It's a pretty cool album. You can download it for $5 or there is also a free version at his site:

Someone I was riding with was playing it, so I had a chance to listen to some of it. Some of those songs sound like leftover Trent songs. I know he produced it and all, but damn. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

That song "Niggy Tardust" sounds influenced by Prince. I've been cracking up at it & the album title. That really is the best album title I've heard in a long time. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Honestly, this record is one of the best records of 2007. The more you listen the better it gets. If it sounds like leftover NIN music is because it was written around the same time as Year Zero. Also the beats are just as hot if not better than some of the stuff on Year Zero. This has been in constant rotation since it came out. Pure Fire!!!

Trent Reznor, the producer, has stated that two of his biggest musical influences were Prince and Public Enemy. He said it in the liner notes of his 1st album "Pretty Hate Machine." [Edited 11/30/07 16:09pm]
