Thompson Twins-forgetten band

in the 80's the Thompson Twins were one of my Favorites
King For A Day,Doctor Doctor,Hold Me Now,Lay Your Hands On Me
all classics dancing jig

the sad thing is unlike alot of other 80's groups that have reformed and played to
new audiences it looks next to impossible that they will ever form again and tour which is a shame and to my knowledge there are no video collections or concerts from them on dvd

Hold Me Now is one of my favourite 80's songs, I remember the solid gold performance of it like it was yesterday

I really liked their last album Queer. You could tell they were definitely heading in a different direction musically. Tom has even said that the last TT albums were more experimental and not Hit saavy.

In the Mid 90's Alana and Tom sort of left the pop world (TT were over) and discovered a whole new musical playing field and changed their name to Babble and released 2 critically acclaimed albums of gorgeoug electronic music. Think Delerium...but PRE Delerium. I HIGHLY recommend you seek these albums out. Though hard to find (try ebay) they are really beautiful!

After Ether was released, Tom and Alana broke up and went their separate ways. Tom now goes by the moniker International Observer...still making ambient/chill music but a lot more dubby. You can check out his 2 albums See and Hear on Amazon.

Not forgetten by radio....well, Sirius likes them. They get a good amount of spins on the Big 80s, whiich often focuses on the bigger hits and 1st Wave, the classic alt rock station which plays nearly all their singles and seems to add tracks all the time.
