any beatles album starting around "rubber soul"/"revolver" and going through the end of their career (chut it moonbeam! hug )

i would have loved to include "revolver" on my list since it's one
of my fav albums of all time.

but i couldn't include it here because how on earth is one to get
past "yellow submarine" which sticks out like a sore, throbbing,
gangrene infested thumb on an otherwise otherworldly good album?

lol

eh, it's the ringo song. it's like the little tub of coleslaw you get with a sandwich at a diner. usually you don't wanna eat it, but sometimes, eh, what the hell.

"blood" by this mortal coil

I listened to that record for the first time in years last week. I've never really liked it, to be perfectly honest (too much ethereal prettiness for my taste) but they definitely picked a great set of songs to cover. Rodney Crowell, Spirit, Chris Bell, Gene Clark - genius selections, every last one of them.

if i'm not in the right mood, this can be a very silly sounding album. but i don't think of it as an album i need to pick and skip through. if i listen to it, i want to hear the whole thing.

Other than Purple Rain,
for me,
it's U2's Achtung Baby.

After that, there are alot of great albums, but there's always at least one song that find I myself skipping over.
