who remembers "Your House" by Alanis Morissette? I went to your house
Walked up the stairs I opened your door without ringing the bell Walked down the hall Into your room Where I could smell you And I shouldn't be here Without permission I shouldn't be here Would you forgive me love If I danced in your shower Would you forgive me love If I laid in your bed Would you forgive me love If I stay all afternoon I took off my clothes Put on your robe I went through your drawers and found your cologne I went down to the den I found your CDs And I played your Joni And I shouldn't stay long You might be home soon I shouldn't stay long Would you forgive me love If I danced in your shower Would you forgive me love If I laid in your bed Would you forgive me love If I stay all afternoon I burned your incense I ran a bath And I noticed a letter that sat on your desk It said "Hello love, I love you so love, meet me at midnight" And no, it wasn't my writing I'd better go soon It wasn't my writing So forgive me love If I cry in your shower So forgive me love For the salt in your bed So forgive me love If I cry all afternoon

I forgot about this song.
Yes, it's insane. But now I think I actually understand it. Desperation makes you yearn for things, to take things, to do things that you know you shouldn't. [Edited 11/24/07 23:17pm]

This song as well as album, was based on her relationship with Dave Collette, (Joey from, "Full House", fame). The dated and the relationship went sour. In fact, what she sings about in this song as well as "You oughta know", really happened. He cheated on her and he was pissed. Talk about inspiration.... This wasn't included on the cassette version of the album, so I've never heard it. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

It was a hidden track on both CDs. The origial accapella version on the original album and the re-recorded guitar version on the 10th anniversary acoustic disc. .

You mean Dave Coulier. FWIW, they were both Nickelodeon stars (Alanis on "You Can't Do That On Television" and Dave on "Out of Control"). Now that I think about it, she's been involved with at least two other Nick guys: Chris Martin and Ryan Reynolds of "Fifteen." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis
