Well this is more about ELTON so i posted it here. First of all just an amazing Two Disc 4 + hour spectacle, also so well put together, but as i watched it i thought OK Prince is turning 50? Hmmm maybe he can do something like this.....

First of all its not even about the concert itself, though the very lengthy concert which covers everything, from hits, to album cuts that he hasnt done in decades, but its the extra footage that was dug up for this dvd release and it showed an artist giving back a GIFT in a way. The 2 hours of extras are unseen footage from shows that range from 1970-1995 with alot of it from the 70's and just re-discovered, also some "in session performances" from 2006 and then a special NYC tribute since this show 60th show was at MSG and was his 60th show there also, the NYC tribute includes unseen footage from songs done for NYC in NYC.

And not only that but this 2 disc set is set up perfect, first on disc 1 you get part 1 of the 60th birthday concert then a break and you get part 1 of the extras as your intermission, then on Disc 2 you get part 2 of the show and then you get part 2 of the extras as an encore for NYC stories, and even more there is a hidden track somewhere, and its a never before seen clip so you really have to watch. So the question is will Prince even come close with a "gift" like this?
