You and me are on the SAME PAGE!! I was just saying that. This part of the show puts that "entertaining/dancing Beyonce" part to shame.

I like it way better.

See Beyonce wants to be seen as the ultimate entertainer, but she looses me a lot on the fast songs. When she performed MM&I, Dangerously In Love, He Loves Me, Flaws And All, I was hooked. She needs to build her career, from this point around songs like those.

Me, Myself & I is my favourite Beyonce song.

She's doing some sort of weird DC3 medley with the Soulja Boy dance just prior to Soldier. ill

An interesting review of the show...

The Beyonce Experience by Chris Willman

If you like women, you'll love Beyoncé's new live show. There's a veritable cast of thousands of 'em in The Beyoncé Experience, which bowed July 7 in Memphis (the tour continues throughout the summer; see the full schedule at Beyoncé's website: a trio of curvy backup singers, a half-dozen dancers, and, not to be neglected, a 10-piece band. (The only dudes allowed on stage were four additional hoofers.) It's as if Cecil B. DeMille lived long enough to direct a rock & roll go-go epic about Amazons, a revue spectacular enough in its colossal divadom to put off proclamations of — it's all right, we've all felt it — Beyoncé fatigue. At least for a couple of months, till her tour has safely passed through town.

Though you'd figure she's as mass-appeal as it gets, at least two-thirds of Beyoncé's opening-night crowd fit into a fairly specific demographic — women over 25 — thus making the sing-along of ''Irreplaceable'' a glorious sound to behold. When the tour hits cities with larger gay-male turnouts, medics should be on hand: The true defibrillator moment, all freakum dress changes aside, is ''Flaws and All,'' during which Beyoncé weeps real tears (nightly, according to reports from earlier overseas shows) while apologizing for being such a bitch. That's a rare campy, melodramatic performance in an otherwise energized two hours, wherein the star jubilantly puts the kibosh on lesser divas' claims that it's impossible to dance and croon live simultaneously. And God created woman, indeed. A-

On a personal note...

...Kim Thompson & Nikki Glaspie are two of the best young female drummers nobody's (that's not a musician) ever heard of.
Maybe at least until this tour is over anyway.

And I concur with VoicesCarry.
I could've done without the Soulja Boy segment.
Totally unnecessary.

one thing i will say about Beyoncè .. she worked herself in this tour...30 songs? .. some artists cant last after 5-6 songs... from beginning to end she still had all her energy to sing with all that jumping around and she sang live... i didnt hear any flats notes... i have to honestly say.. that was a nice concert.. the band was hot in some of those songs too (the re-arrangement of her songs live was awesome ['upgrade u' was even sounding nice @ the end eek with the keyboard].. whoever thought of that re-arrangement was brilliant)

Yeah, she pretty much shut all the haters down with this show. Anybody catch her little nod to the Time with those dance steps during "Naughty Girl"?

A verse from the song is in that Bonnie and Clyde song anyway.

Good to see all the haters finally realising what a real talent she is.

i never said the girl couldnt sing (read MY previous posts of other threads) .. what i dont like are her garbage tracks (which they ARE garbage)... and if other artists (a Ciara, Ashanti, Rhianna) had 'her' tracks, they would have flopped, but it's Beyonce... now she put on a nice show for this Experience Live and the style in her music was great (which is what impressed me) would be nice if she took some of that in the studio for future projects and if an artist puts on a nice show, I'll give them credit (i did the same with Timberlake with his HBO show.. was nice) .. but if Beyonce puts out more garbage tracks (like 'Check On'It' disbelief no!) in the future.. im saying so.. her singing ability was never an issue and she puts on a nice show...the only ppl i express a dislike for are rappers..

I went for the show, and loved it just as much when watching it again. Songs like DIL and flaws and all made me tear up, as did Listen, and I hope she goes in that direction soon. I always wanted her to be in that direction and not do as much hip hop as she's done.

I don't like Check on It either, I think she had to do that for The Pink Panther movie though. I don't think a lot of her hip hop-esque tracks are that terrible I think everyone here is just too biased to accept it.

FYI, much of what you heard vocally was on a track....She sang some of it live and had some "help" in other spots. There was plenty of lip-synchin' goin' on...

Not really. Suga Mama was lip synced a bit because she was pole dancing. There was a backing track on sometimes but listen to the slows songs, especially Flaws and All. Completely live from start to finish.

If that's the case then, which it isn't, she did better this time around that on the Live At Wembley dvd. I only caught her lip synching once and it was for about 5 seconds on the Expeience...

I just happen to be a musician and performer & I can say with plenty of confidence that there was plenty of lip-synching goin' on. cool
