This Tom Waits guy...

A few days ago I was checking out youtube and found an excerpt of jim jarmuschs (? dont know if spelled correctly) movie coffee and cigarettes. a great scene with iggy pop and tom waits who don't get along... (btw, especially iggy seems to be quite a very nice guy).

Well and that got me interested in tom waits, too, since i have heard and read his names countless times but i never really tried some of his music. well, i came across some songs (temptation, rain dogs... etc.) and said to myself: well, THIS sounds good...

the next day i bought (prince do you read this? YOUTUBE -> i saw something i liked -> BOUGHT it!) swordfishtrombones and franks wild years. i did not find rain dogs there, but it will be my next album.

well, what can i say? fantastic, fantastic. absolutely brilliant stuff.

Rain dogs (live) from "Big Time" (not re-released on dvd):

Rain Dogs is definitely a good next choice. His newest, Orphans, is right up there too.
