The bottom on this song is so HEAVY....Pure funk from Lady T herself...The Solo in the song smokes.....Teena Marie @ her best.

Now your talking. Such an intoxicating song and of course it's about the uber aquarian himself - Mr. Slick Rick!
I love that song. I too have been in love with a spacey aquarian who treated me like the lyric "call on me, i'm your pacifier when you need some company". Such slick lyrics, such a hard rocking melody. Lady T knew what she was doing on this one for sure.

My favorite Lady T album of all time.
And of course, you know who's playing guitar on this right? Some people tell me I've got great legs...

I ran a thread on this song about 2 years ago. I remember clear as day that not ONE person posted on the thread. This is one of my all time favorite songs by anyone. And definately my fave Teena song. And my fave Teena album. This album DESTROYS ATWIAD. The Hendrix influenced solo by Stevie is off the hook. She showed P that he wasn't the only one in the 80's who understood Jimi. By her getting Bootsy to play bass and do his Jimi voice on the title track along with Stevie Ray's Hendrixian solo sealed it for me. Oh and her guitarist in the band was named Bendrix. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

I read somewhere that Teena REFUSES to play any songs from the EMERALD CITY album live because she was crushed when the album bombed upon release because of all the hard work she put into it...

Best Teena album...and great, great song. I wore out the grooves on this album; thank god I got a CD now! I have *always* loved the guitar on this cut thought back then "Heh, I wonder what Prince thinks of the guitar on this one?" Some people tell me I've got great legs...

And of course, you know who's playing guitar on this right? what year was this? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember it as 1986. Some people tell me I've got great legs...
