Classic electric sitar hook also.

I have this album on cassette somewhere...

...Super Hits.

Pino has another groovy bassline on Paul Young's version of I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down.
Cool video too.

good to know the audience is listening.

I will look up the track, I love Pino's playing, but I do have to be honest live its a very tough sound to mix. Like on Mayer's Try! its very reggae dub like with a little too much low end. But his basslines have always been just so damn tasty.

Thanks and happy turkey day!

cool B',

That explain my thinking there was a live performance of this song, when it's just live footage of a concert(s). Man, all this time i was thinking it was live vocals. It's been so long.

Paul Young must love doing multiple versions of his videos...

...I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down

Version 2...

...the one I prefer.
Probably done at the same time the "Live" Everytime You Go Away video was done.

I continued to until about 1992. Is that when it went off the air?

For that second alt video, the one I'm most familiar with...is it me, or
did he have a Prince vibe going during his live stuff???

Either way, one of my alltime favorite songs.

thumbs up!
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I love Paul's version, but there is something about the Hall & Oats version, that hits me in a different way. It goes straight to the heart.

It must have lasted at least that long - I can remember seeing My Name Is Prince on it when Dan Gallager (originally of MuchMusic) was hosting.
