btw, what would you call a synthesizer? I know what it is but what would you describe it as.?
[Edited 11/23/07 22:20pm]

It's like a keyboard instrument but you can do more with like add sounds and all kinds of weird and cool stuff like reverbs and distortion. Stevie was so great in that. biggrin

Oh okay. **adds that to MJ's list**

Sorry, but that doesn't show her playing. That video is not live. They're miming to the track, and you can't see Janet's fingers for the one and a half second she's at the keyboard. MJ's Pepsi ad was more convincing.

Yeah, but she doesn't really belong in this thread since she's only a competent guitarist. She plays dulcimer too, but I'm not sure if you could say she's "great" on any instrument.

Yeah I think the KEY word is GREAT. I noticed that someone wrote that Madonna is great on drums and percussions. Is she? As great as Stevie Wonder and Prince? Or is she just competent?

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that after three decades in show business, she is not competent on the piano or keyboard. Great -- I doubt it. But she is like MJ and Madonna probably competent on these instruments.
