Lyfe Jennings....anyone? Orgers, is anybody else feeling Lyfe Jennings?
I searched but couldn't find any posts about him, which surprised me. I have been rinsing his albums Lyfe 268-192 and The Phoenix on the Ipod for a while now, can't get enough of them - I'm loving the tone of his voice and what he has to say.

I met Lyfe right before his first cd came out. I went to a Cd signing for Angie Stone and after i purchased her CD she asked would i like to attend her album release party and gave me a invite, during the party i noticed this guy staring at me (I got nervous because i thought dude was trying to pick me up )  anyway he noticed that i was by myself and we struck up a conversation about Angie and then i noticed that a lot of girls kept approaching him... so i asked this dude who he was and he said that's my brother i was like ok... but who is he and he said he's a singer and about 3 months later i was in Virgin looking for some cd's and i came accross Lyfe's cd purchased it and loved it... didn't get in to the second cd though[Edited 11/20/07 4:56am] | |

Dude is annoying. I got tired of his conversations between cuts on his first joint and his voice is so gravelly (word?) that it annoys the living shit out of me. All that constant talk of how he did time and shit, who gives a shit that you went to jail, get over it.

My first encounter with LYFE was in line waiting to go see MYA at BBkings back in 2003. While waiting on line he and another guy were handing out a cd with a track and some snippets from the first album, he had just been signed to Sony at this point.
