The "you" in the song is an arbitrary you, used in a passive sense that typical language used in pop songs permits - as in "sorry, I only presented your own sexual desires in public". Next you're trying to tell us "We Are The World" was about that specific group of people participating in the recording process "being the world" themselves, and no one else.
