I most certainly was not I mean Yo! MTV Rap was cute and all but I was already a devout BET fanatic, though. Up untill Donnie Simpson and Tavis Smiley left,,,,Ed Gordon who was the LAST class act resgined from it but when its bitch ass owner sold it to Viacom thats when the jig was up for me. They should change their title to CET which stands for Coons Entertainment Television,,,,,pun is def intended coz they sure live up to that name nowadays I shifted my intrest to PBS and TvOne this time Besides the tacky (And surprisingly, sometimes incredibly corny.) Tom Joyner Show and the slightly exceptional Michael Baisden After Dark (Or whatever the hell it's called.) talkshow, the network doesn't really show much music. But, TVOne is the place to be for Black Sitcoms and other good stuff, Black. I agree about BET. But, it used to be "The Shit". MTV might have been sparse sometimes, with the Black Music Videos, the ones they did show were cool. They, nonetheless, reflected on a generation that "LOVED" music (Albeit, not as much as the 80's. Especially with the emergence of The Real World, which was "NOT" bad, at first. The Black Hip-Hop/Rap Columnist that emerged from the first season proves my point. His name escapes me, though.). MTV was certainly better in the Early '90's and Late 80's. But, BET was lovely, back in the day. It actually reflected on Black culture, musically. That dude that sold it (Forgot his name.) brought a death to it, obviously, from the looks of things. It's about as bad as MTV is, currently. Thanks to Viacom's greediness. BET shouldn't be called BET, anymore. And, the same goes for MTV. How about WMTV: "What Music's To View?"

Are you talking about brotha Nelson George? Kevin Powell is the guy's name. The first season, I think, really left a mark of strong impression for Generation X and many others of that era. Very interesting, it was. "OR", at least it seemed.....
