DINAH WASHINGTON APPRECIATION THREAD

She is my all time favorite jazz vocalist. Growing up , my mother used to play her records every morning when my siblings and I were eating breakfast and when we were getting ready to go to school. Ms Washington has such an lovely voice. Her music bring back a lot of my childhood memories. music

One of my fav vocalists of all time.

One of a kind, super unique phrasing. She sang the standards the way she wanted 2.

Love her attitude.

Sassy, soulful, sexy, sultry... she was the bridging gap between Aretha and Erykah to me. Those women including the women around the middle like Etta, Mary Wells, and others followed this woman's path.

A true legend.
