I'm a falsetto man myself. I don't think I've ever mistaken a male voice for a female one My grandmother thought Prince was a woman. I would be playing "Do Me, Baby" really loud in my room and I would turn up the screaming parts because those were my favorites. She would bang on the wall and holler....."Andy, turn that damn shit down! Good Lord! It sounds like somebody is choking that bitch!". Babyface brother, (I can't think of his name) the brotha from After 7, I used to always think he was a female. PRINCE: Always and Forever

One of my favorite Cameo releases is the underappreciated "Feel Me" album. I can't believe it's out of print in the U.S. Larry Blackmon still hasn't received the accolades he deserves for elevating funk to dizzying heights. Feel Me" Track Listing: Throw It Down Your Love Takes Me Out Keep It Hot Feel Me Is This the Way Roller Skates Better Days [Edited 11/15/07 9:41am] [Edited 11/15/07 9:42am]

I still rotate the album. Throw It Down is a monster, esp.@the break the bass and the moog or clavi. "Freaky dancin' freaky dancin". Your Love Takes Me Out pure fi-yah "It gets the best of me, and it makes me wanna shout" Keep It Hot need i splain Feel Me Anthony Lockett holding it down Is This the Way you want it to be Roller Skates If you like this sound, throw your arms around, both hands in the air, don't be shy now we know that you can do it, lift one foot at a time now form a single line, turn yourself around don't be shy now we like the way you do it. Better Days "I like the way you make me feel, honestly i do, i do. ooo. you make me cry everytime you say goodbye and the chances are..i'll never get to see you agaain woah, no one said that life was easy no-no there's nothing i can do but blow a kiss and hope for better days.. Bet-ter daaaaays oh yea',(yea' yea'), a better daaaa-ays" [Edited 11/15/07 14:04pm]

I bought Cameo's Alligator Woman the same day I bought Controversy & The Time. Just Be Yourself remains my favorite song of the 80's.

Bet-ter daaaaays oh yea',(yea' yea'), a better daaaa-ays" When I was growing up, I listened to very few albums in their entirety. I usually only put the needle on the songs I was familiar with from the radio or an uptempo jam I discovered from placing the needle from one song to another. A lot of tracks like this one slipped by me at the time. When I got a CD recorder a few years ago and started recording entire vinyl albums onto CD, I was forced to listen to the entire albums so I could press the button at the right time to increase the track number. During that process, I discovered a lot of tracks I had overlooked back in the day. "Better Days" is a song I have come to love. Another one is "I'll Always Stay" from Cameo's "Knights Of The Sound Table" album. Even though I owned the albums, I had never realized that Cameo really had some great albums from start to finish back in those days. Andy is a four letter word.

I hear ya' VA, I too go back to my vinyl and discover or re-discover songs that i paid little attention to back then, ahh yes.. the power of vinyl. I dug Better Days from the first listen, better yet i dug the entire album from first listen. I'll Always Stay is another nice Cameo slow song, Cameo always had a slow cut on their albums that i would get requests to play. Vinyl...keep'em spinnin'.

I so very much agree with you. I'm in the process of writing to Mercury Records to ask them to do exactly that. NWF said: And what's this I heard about a 30th anniversary box set package from the band?
