"I Miss You"...Who's version do you like the best?

Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes (with Teddy Pendergrass singing lead)
http://www.youtube.com/wa...h8fZLjt5Uc

or

David Ruffin
http://www.youtube.com/wa...s0W7wsZlBg

?????

I love Teddy, I really do and I feel both versions, but I have to go with Ruff.

Damn, then again, I do love the 'Notes version too....shit I can't even decide confused
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

No you're not! cool

I had heard the Blue Notes' version 100 times so I had to hear David's. Ruff is vocally out of this world, he's right up there with Teddy on this!

By the way I go for the Blue Notes'. You can't beat Teddy's pleading and Harold's tears through his rap.

true, but what about Ruffin's smooth touch on this? You've got to take his version into consideration. I think Ruffin's version would had been perfect without the woman talking from time to time in the background.

Yeah I dig his version. If the woman isn't convinced of his pleas, she ain't got no heart. David's BEGGING on that track!

HELL YES!!! He was begging so much, now I know how he got all that pussy back in the day. He wasn't much to look at....but that VOICE just hypnotizes you..... razz razz razz If he sung to me, I know those panties would had been dropping!!!! wink

I'm getting horny just thinking about it..... wink wink wink

I love Dave, but Teddy and the boys win this one outright IMO.

I love how Philly Soul came out of nowhere to dominate R&B in the '70s. In a few short years, they had Motown artists covering them!

Heh, remember how I used to always say how lucky I done been
You know being they got that lottery, I hit it
I’d like to kind of make up for
A lot of things that just seemed not to go right
Don’t want you to think I’m trying to buy back your love or your friendship
But now I feel I got a chance to kind of make things up to you a little bit
Heh, enough about you and me
How’s my little son?
Hmm, he ever ask about me?
Just a little bit
does he still like to go down by the supermarket?
If I could just
If I could just see you
Can’t really say what you mean or what you want over the phone
I swear I miss you
You done heard it ten times or more but
I swear I done changed
