I have several blaxploitation films such as "Blacula", "Superfly", "Coffy", etc. I don't have any of the soundtracks though. I remember "Superfly" had the best music though".

However, as far as modern ones, there was a film in the early 2000s that was called "American Pimp". If that movie had a soundtrack, that would definately be the best. All throughout that movie, they were playing songs by Curtis Mayfield, Con Funk Shun, Brick, Slave, etc.

I can't see that link but that sounds like it. It was a documentary. It also featured an ex-pimp turned preacher that was named The Bishop. He had a perm, always wore green, and drove a green Cadillac. He was also in a previous documentary called "Pimps Up, Ho's Down".

I love my pimp and whore movies. lol

Well yeah "Claudine" doesn't really fit into that genre, but it was one of the first soundtracks that popped into my head for some reason when I was making my list but oh well, too late to change it now. Still a great soundtrack though but I agree with you about "Foxy Brown". I love that soundtrack (and the movie also).
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

I'm pretty sure there is a soundtrack to that movie. Haven't seen the film or heard the soundtrack in a while though but I remember the title song pretty well which I absolutely love. The movie is great 2!

Thats Curtis Mayfield's BEST produced OST IMO nod

The Makings Of You was Gladys Knight's tour-de-force moment and the BEST rendition of that song music

Even though this ain't Blaxploitation either.....

Does anybody remember this OST,,,or even the MOVIE? lol

It DOES have a soundtrack, but you need to get American Pimp - the Outtakes to get it:
