"Billie Jean" is OK but I never did see what was so great about the damn song. I mean, it wasn't very funky. It actually sounded kind of average. "PYT" was probably the best thing on that album and even it was weak compared to his "Off The Wall" album or his work with his brothers.

Also, the success of "Thriller" actually ruined him. With each album after that, he became more pop and more pop. Not to mention becoming a loony toon in his personal life as well. lol

"Billie Jean" is just "ok"?? I consider it to be the best song of the 80s! You cannot tell me that bassline is not funky. In early 1983 when it got alot of airplay,I thought it was the coolest thing on the radio.

I am sure I have seen the jacksons do a performance to this song. It was around the time the single came out, but I am not quite whether it was a concert performance or an actual video. I have never seen it since and I can't seem to find it on Youtube.

Best song of the 80s? That's going a bit far. It's a great track, but strip away the hype and it wouldn't even qualify in the top 50 songs of the 80s.

Yes, it's true. I just spoke to a friend to confirm it there is a performance to this song. Although I think it was part of the Triumph conert rather than an actual video.
