There seem to be a lot of Celine fans here so please tell me what you think of the new album.

I'm not a fan but when I heard she was doing a more R&B type album, I was intersted. I tend to go on Itunes every Tuesday (or as soon as I can if I'm busy) and look at the new releases and listen to samples of anything I'm even remotely interested in....I even did that with Zeppelin's new collection, and I already own all those tracks! I listened and noticed that the second track was simply titled "Alone"...yep, it's the Heart power ballad but she has taken the balls out of it and it seems like most of the songs are hushed (am I wrong...I just listned to samples and most not all the way through). Seems funny from someone who I would define from tracks like "Have You Ever Been In Love?"...It might not be her most popular but for some reason it sticks in my head more than the annonying and mannered "My Heart Will Go On".

Also, did she release a French rock album while sort of on hiatus from making albums (along with that weird baby project, of course). Seems like she has some varied interests for someone more known to singing songs for your mama (and my mama).

Where is Chico?

I have this album and in my opinion it is excellent.

There is a lot a variety on it and some tracks that you would not expect to hear from Celine.

Her voice is in top shape and there is a lot of places were she shows that off, which I love. The power of her voice is unbeleivable.

My advice: give this a go.

I haven't bought it yet, but her vocals make me want to climax and cry

I'm not a big fan but I think the new album is worth purchasing, different sound.
Taking Chances is a great song.
