THAT record is one of the TRUE JOYS of my existence.
"I Didn't Mean to Turn You On" more so than the "On The Rise" LP was where you REALLY FELT Jimmy and Terry going from MPLS into something that was truly their own. The keyboards on that song are pure Time but the bass configurations was SOME WHOLE OTHER SHIT. That song just blows me away.

Cherrelle was and STILL the deal cause she is constantly performing and all and when i say she is way better LIVE than on record, this WOMAN gives you a show of course, she was here in St. Louis she was opening act for Maze feat Frankie Beverly and when Maze came out they were like how can we follow that performance i mean this girl SANG her ass off and sang every song imaginable....I would love some new stuff from her and i would let Jam & Lewis man the project and i am sure it would be HOT, I know some years back Cherrelle and Alexander O'Neal were going to do this duet album but nothing ever came of it, i wonder did they record some songs? If so iw ould love to here the songs they did.....CHERRELLE is still tops in my book. I first got hip to cherrelle when Fragile was banging on the Radio and we used to have free concerts in the park...sponsered by Miller beer....Ms Cherrelle took the show as far as solo acts go and as far as groups Midnight Star was on point with Ms Belinda Lipscombe.....those were the days!

I fell in love with cherelle when i first heard when you look in my eyes. She not only had that sweet seductive voice but she could get it going on the uptempo jams too like fragile, you look good to me, artificial heart, affair, etc. I would love to see cherelle live. I like the songs "Who's It Gonna Be" and "I Will Wait For You" a lot more than "When You Look In My Eyes". Nice song though.

Tabu records has remastered the albums "Fragile" and "High Priority" on cd. The two cds should be in stores now. I hope that Tabu do the same for the album "Affair" real soon.

I love the B-Side to Artificial Heart - It's a funky quirky tune called "OH NO it's U Again" and she says "Monte Moir, I need a solo!".
So divalicious. So fun!
