Seeing as Joe Cocker has just been in New Zealand, I thought I'd start a thread on him.

Joe Cocker is a survivor, and I think he's got an amazing voice - I think it has been best described as "tonsel-shredding". Since he cleaned his act up, his performances are consistently good, and he's never "out of tune"...
His screams have made me shiver before...they're legendary.
See "Across From Midnight: The Tour" on VHS - a cool concert in Germany from 1995 (I think).

Yes, I agree with you. Joe is a definite talent and has paid his dues. He has a great voice. I have always been a fan of Joe and obviously he's a fan of Prince. I like Prince's version of 5 women better than Joe's though.
