I loved this song so much when it came out. Was'nt this song a smash hit in the states? It must have been a big hit in Sweden tho cuz I remember it being played all the time.The best videos is definity from this era

I like The Awakening and Listen to Me.... Two of my favorites!! The thing with Narada is that he's played in so many different styles, with so many different people that his stuff ranges from the sublime to the ridiculous, lol!!! I mean, on one hand, he's played with and written for artists like Jeff Beck, Robert Fripp, John Mclaughlin, Santana, Todd Rundgren, Ray Charles, Rick James, Chick Corea, Jaco Pastorius, Barbara Streisand, Allan Holdsworth, Al Jarreau, Stacy Lattisaw, Phyllis Hyman, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Tommy Bolin, Sister Sledge, Aretha Franklin and Weather Report--and on the other hand ....Kenny G .... and his albums have that same range...so yeah, there's great stuff, but then there's also some goofy crap that should probably never be played again--but deciding which is which is probably up to the individual listener....
For me, his first three albums are essential--- and the rest...well, IMO it gets kinda dicey after that, I have to pick and choose, ....

What was he thinking? I Know...but as a producer, he's open to anything.....I think a lot of people use him for their records because he's the kind of producer that always asks what the artist wants, rather than just giving them what he thinks they should do....

I think it's clever and funny Oh,I like it...corny, but fun, and that's all it was supposed to be, just a fun, light pop song....
I think that's one of the things I've always liked about Narada, that he's got the range to do some fun, innocent pop fluff one moment, then turn right around and jam with Joe Zawinul at the next point ..and he doesn't see any contradiction... People usually like to put up walls separating music: Rock, Jazz, Pop, R&B, "serious music vs. commercial music", etc.... but my favorite artists always play, as Miles said, "duty-free" music...and Narada is one of those artists who simply acts as though those walls aren't there... ... I like it--This one's more of a straightforward Pop album ---"Gimme Gimme Gimme" probably could've fit on here----I think my favorite song was the title track, "Looking At You, Looking At Me"...I also liked "Shake It Off", "Ain't Nobody Ever loved You", and "Dreammaker".... BTW, I see what you meant, I didn't realize they were realeasing the rest of his catalog..... mostly the 80's stuff that hadn't made it to CD yet... ....
