Really, where's that from? I love the Reverend and I need his soul music to heal sometimes, he's really more than an artist to me.

there's a live track where he's doing "we've only just begun" and then he goes into "lets stay together"-hot!

With the original Chicago Transit Authority (even guitarist Terry Kath). thumbs up!
You'd better "save" that one...whistling

The Reverend is in the process of finishing up an album for Blue Note.
Unfortunately, based on what I was told, it's gonna be one of those "Duet" style albums.
I guess that's the only way you can get folks to listen to a legend these days.

The names Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Corinne Bailey Rae, Joss Stone & Justin Timberlake (Memphis connection) were mentioned.
Willie Mitchell & ?uestlove are supposedly handling the production duties.
It's the music biz so all this could change overnight.

Bro's no slouch on the kit; he gets props out of the hip-hop box. Besides, Willie Mitchell's a drummer too. Can't speak up for the duet partners, but he's probably onboard to handle their neo-soul(less) aspects.

What album was it originally on?
I got it on a 'Greatest Hits' comp on vinyl.
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

You certainly do.You should hear what Al does with the Temptations classic "I Can't Get Next To You"...he turns it into a slower, bluesy track that sizzles! music
