I was the one who suggested to Gloria to start an MJNI message forum and I nagged her months to do so and she eventually gave in. They started trying to get members to pay to be a member of the forum and naturally, everyone buggered off. MJ forums died because there hasn't been anything remotely interesting or news-worthy to discuss for years. MJ hasn't taken an interest in his own career since the late nineties so it was only a matter of time. There's only so long you can pretend to be interested in Michael's legal affairs... It's been fun recently to see these new photoshoots and start seeing him as a popstar again. Hopefully they'll be videos, albums and performances on the way... but somehow, I doubt those days will ever fully return. I was speaking to some fans who think that banning you is what caused MJNI to close down. Everyone lost interest and sort of revolted against MJNI when they banned you. You have massive respect in the MJ fan community. To the over 21s, not the teens, they have no idea who you are. I'm not sure if that's quite true, but hey, thanks anyway! As for Michael coming back, it'll take more than a few photoshoots to convince me that he really has that hunger again. You know what I'm talking about - the hunger that wrote an album like HIStory, and toured it, and made countless world-class videos and performances in support of it. Essentially, that's what we all want again and it has looked very unlikely in recent years that we're ever going to get that. Invincible wasn't even 50% of what MJ is truly capable of. Fans can blame lack of promotion on Sony all they like, but the fact remains that MJ didn't even rehearse anything new for those MSG concerts and that he made next to no effort with the conceipt and execution of the YRMW video. Maybe Sony didn't help matters, but in actuality, it was blindingly obvious that Michael didn't really care about the project from the outset. I sincerely hope that Michael isn't going to take the same half-assed approach to the quality control and promotion of the next album... if he does, then the expectations we have as fans are probably never going to materialise. A proud moment as Greg is initiated into the MJNI Team. That's what got me banned.

I knew that once he´d have the kids, we´d loose the first place of his interest and it is more than obvious. It´s not that he feels like doing nothing for the rest of his life, but he sees other things in life that he wants to enjoy first. He´s enjoyed the show-bussines enough. I understand him. I can´t imagine being hungry to do something the WHOLE life. Read the interview. I think it was clear enough from it that he won´t fully return. He may do a concert here and than if he feels like it. Release an album, if he´s gonna feel that he has 10 songs that he´s proud of one day and if not, he won´t bother trying too hard. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

I'm not expecting miracles... but he's still capable of putting his heart into his music. There have been glimpses of excellence since the late nineties... Speechless and We've Had Enough are as passionate as any of his best work. For me, that's all I really want... a whole record that he puts his heart into... maybe a couple of decent videos too... c'mon Mike - is that too much to ask???

I 2002/2003 made his sort of lose his passion for music. Those years were just disastorous for him. I know if I had that much negative attention I'd lose the will to do anything. But the trial sort of lifted his spirits a bit I think. Not just the fact he was vindicated, but the fact that fans were outside the courthouse everyday to support him.
What he really needs to get completely "in the zone" again and reignite his passion for music, is a Quincy-type person in his life. Quincy had a profound affect on Michael. To me it seemed like when he teamed up from Quincy he went from a boy who was forced into music at a young age to a man who lived and breathed music and wanted it that way. I'm not entirely sure will.i.am is that Quincy type of person. And Quincy is definately not that person. He was, but in this day and age Michael and Quincy wont do anything too spectacular. As much Michael tries to emulate current fads in music, he has never really sacrificed good, creative music for just for sales. Invincible seemed that way but I think it was more lack of passion than desire for sales that made it a sub-par album. So saying that, I think maybe there's more to will.i.am than meets the eye. I don't think Michael will just work with him because he thinks it'll translate to sales. Michael would've seen something special, something he liked in Will. Something we don't see. So maybe he is the Quincy that Michael needs to reignite his passion.
