26/Sep AMAZING! NEW SINGLE
It's here. Well, almost. Seal's debut track from his forthcoming album, System, was premiered on BBC Radio 1's Pete Tong show last Friday. Titled "Amazing!", the show featured the "Thin White Duke" remix. You can listen to the track here, or checkout the Pete Tong show, here - the track gets a played just over 6 minutes in.
The single is due for release on 23rd October in the US - no word yet on Europe, UK or RoW.

Mark it in your diary, set a reminder on your mobile/cell phone, write it on a wall - Seal's new album is scheduled for release on 20th November.

06/Jun NEW ALBUM FINISHED
In his blog, Seal has confirmed that his latest album is complete. Bearing the name "System" - a departure from the expected "Seal V" - the album can, according to Seal, "best be described as me 'returning to my roots' as it were. Some who've heard it say that it's a dance album."

Human Beings? I slept on it for a long time and then when I finally got it I was like whoa, not bad at all. I think I got caught up in the weird video of the title song for awhile but when I really listen to it, it's a powerful song. Still Love Remains is beautiful track.

It was called "Seal IV"
It had a strong Stevie Wonder influence and DAMNNNN that shit was good.
Trevor Horn produced it.

I didn't think it was, but I grew to like it. Oh, Seal IV I only know a little of but did like a few tracks.

Yeah it is alright, but IV is one of my all time favorite albums...so even though "The System" is a cooler title, I have a hard time believing it will top it in my book.

The song is used in commercials and stuff (not always very helpful...ask John Mellencamp) and it's pretty average for his return to dance. I hope the album is good. His last was pretty good although the remix to "Get Together" was better than the forced original.

Well actually it was probably the only reason that John debuted in the top 5 with his album. Lets face it Seal is going to fall into that same class of an older artist thats not going to get played, whether its Springsteen or Mellencamp or Seal or Sting or whoever, they are not going to get play. A commercial is really the only way they might get heard, as John Mellencamp said "it was easy to be noble and relevant in the 80's, because we all got played on the radio and Mtv, but now the game is different"

i'm mad that the first time i heard this song was on CBS's "Amazing Race" commercial for it's new season. And for this reason, i somehow don't take the song seriously.

It's dark, moody, murky, etc but I think it's great.
Still Love Remains is one of my top Seal songs. Period.
This album does take some time getting into for sure but it reaps many benefits.
As far as the new song, it's OK. I expect more from Seal. Though I welcome a new album, I'm expecting the rest of the album to be better than Amazing.
Actually,I've heard the title track, System, and that is a great song so there's hope.

I know it leaked (the album), but I will only listen to it when it's released.

I on the other hand, respect, love and support Seal but would d/l if I could and I'd still purchase when available. So it all balances out. At least for me.

I downloaded it, but I haven't listened yet. "Human Beings" was shit, but IV was pretty good, especially "Don't Make Me Wait." I don't care much for "Amazing," but I hope it grows. I've tried and TRIED to dig "Human Beings."
