i think a quirkier and more committed actress should play eartha - this could be a starmaking role for the right actress, and this could re-introduce eartha kitt to a whole new generation. eartha needs her own angela bassett.

i think she would be perfect playing ertha kit... they have similar features... and janet is sexy enough for the part i think thats cool


i can really see it... and she makes a better ertha kit.. then she does playing Leena Horne....

I can't see Janet playing Eartha. I'd be surprised if she could pull that off. I actually think Robin Givens or Nia Long could pull off that role. Don't laugh.

all the folks mentioned (including janet) are too old.

however, i'd be really interested in seeing janet work with a real director...she showed potential in poetic justice but beyond that she seems to be working with directors who are too in awe of her stardom and allow her to coast.

This would be a terrible thing if it actually happened. Janet playing Eartha Kitt, don't think so. Can't even see her no where near as comparable to Eartha Kitt. I think an unknown actress should play her.
