The album isnt coming out in the USA along with a bunch of other Pop females. The target for this album is the UK which she has already been doing promotion for, the US market is dead at this point. The album might be re-worked for america but dont count on it, america is not a viable market and the artists know it thats why they dont promote here, look at Alicia Keys, shes playing in Spain right now doing promotion, and her tour is going to be in the UK. Her singing career is far from over, she has tons of requests from artists to just be on their records, plus she did a killer song with Sting on the album that should have been the single but her label wants the poppy stuff, not the challenging stuff. PCD are almost finished with a second cd which willl be out in the spring, so just because this market cant get its shit together doesnt mean that anyone is over. The funny thing is most of what the label pushed out there was their marketing idea, instead of letting her sing her stuff they pair her up with a criminal like TI and want her to be beyonce on other songs, this is all on the USA label.

Keyshia Cole is selling, Fergie is selling, Beyonce is selling, Nelly is selling, Britney is selling

stop making excuses, tell Nicole to be original, don't accept songs from producers that sound even remotely like a song already released, that crappy crap she released with TI sound just like Blindfold me, and then Babylove is a horrible, I MEAN Horrible rip off from Beyonce Irreplaceable

Thats your idea of selling? Dude the market is dead, Fergie had 4 top 3 singles and her album barely pulled in 1.5 million, Keyshia is in a different genre, Beyonce is the only one that a label can say sells, and if they lost her it would all collapse. And she shouldnt excpet work from producers, i said that from day one, on this record she is being produced by Will I am, Timbaland etc.. who are doing nothing but recycling anyway. Also im not making excuses thats the way it is, i could care less if the record comes out here, im not getting a check from it, i got my copy and thats what matters, i like most of it, but the pop stuff i aint feeling because she is working with the same wack-ass producers that everyone is, which is what a label wants. U think the label wants her song with Sting to be heard? the label wants dumb songs to be released to a dumb public.

Its from someone in the same camp, and like i said they paired her with the typical wack producers, Tim,Will I am,Ne-yo, same same same, the best thing she did was the track with Sting and the Dude from Snow Patrol, but they wont release that to radio because its too difficult

And that's exactly what's pissing me off with America at this point. No dance OR hip-hop/r&b artist can ever create a hit single without a criminal-looking rap artist on it (SPECIFIC: a rap artist that doesn't understand dance-pop culture at all!). disbelief

.....and they're all using the SAME formula. Again, they're using rappers to increase their credibility with the streets, but damn nearly forgetting the dancefloor.

Exactly when i heard the line-up for this album i thought WHY? and then i heard that 90% of this record was what the Label wanted, they wanted carbon copy stuff of what was already out there to cash in on them. Labels dont want to challenge you at this point, look at the producer line-up Timbaland,Ne-yo,Will Iam, the three stooges that are on everyones records, that having done anything interesting and original in a long time, and Ne-yo, honestly, never has.

Well. it looks like I'll be investing my money on music from the UK more often. The playing field with their music industry looks a little more even than the USA at this point.

Well thats because they set her up with the same old producers and at this point those producers cant do anything new and different. The best tracks on this cd, are the Sting cut and the cut she wrote with the Snow Patrol guy and was worked on by one of the engineers that worked with RadioHead.

I think she should colab with Siobhan Fahey...

She did one of the best tunes of PCD

yeah i to agree, no impressed with her solo bullshit. Some people just don't need to go solo and should stay in groups....and she is one of those people. Weird but true.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Would be interesting, im hoping the hanging in the UK will rub off on Nicole. Her and PCD did 10times better overseas than they did here, then again, everyone did better overseas.

I agree.Nicole should just stay in the Pussycat Dolls.I heard a few of her solo songs and it's barf I'm not a huge fan of the Dolls, but at least "Dontcha" was a decent song.

lol

I think Nicole should stay with the group awhile longer. She's not ready for a solo career yet.I heard two songs from her solo album and both songs are terrible.

And that's the problem right there.Record labels set their artists up with these generic,one-trick pony, shit hop "producers" who create faceless, boring music that could have been done by anybody.Nicole can actually sing, but she's not gonna make it as a solo artist with weak material.
