Are they even in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? After all, they influenced everyone from Hendrix and The Beatles to Jodeci. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yes they are in the rock and roll hall of fame but probably based on their 60's work i.e twist and shout, this old heart of mine, it's your thing. Most of their 70's work was strictly r&b with the exception of who's that lady. [Edited 11/1/07 18:32pm] Don't laugh at my funk

IMO, they should've been inducted years beforehand. I do think that when all is said and done, we'll hear more about how the Isleys influenced a lot of artists be it rock, soul, hip-hop, jazz, whatever.

It's intersting how you can hear how others have been influenced by their sound. To me, their 70s work took on a "sensual" approach...especially in their ballads.
Their ballads like "Sensuality", "For The Love Of You," "Let's Fall In Love", "Voyage To Atlantis" and others show us all vocally how a man can make love to a woman by singing. It is amazing. Come on, listening to Sensuality takes you from foreplay to climax in just a few minutes. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

He can sound gritty and fiery on the uptempo records and can sound sweet and delicate and soothing on the smoother stuff.
