I haven't heard anything but snippits online. I liked the snippet of "What Do The Lonely Do At Christmas". It is one of my favorite holiday songs.

This cd has to be better than her last one. The last one sucked.

I think this came out this week or is coming out next week. I heard Steve Harvey mention it on his show. He said it was good, but I take his opinion with a grain of salt.

Question: Will Ron Isley be home for Christmas /When does his sentence begin?

Observation: Nice Isley Bros. album cover...Miss Patti's looks like an empty Christmas.

Both the Isley Brothers and Patti's cds are produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.

The thing about Patti's album is that it's on Def Soul Classic. I thought she was dropped from the label and had nothing but bad things to say about LA Ried.

Is this a contractual obligation? Because her gospel album was released on Bungalo Records, distributed through Universal Music Group. Well, ok, Universal owns Def Jam too- but what's the deal with her deal?

We don't know if the Christmas cd was the "last" cd under her contract with DefSoul. I do know that her gospel cd did extremely well (for an independent cd) and she banked over a million in profit. I heard Jawn talk about it on the Tom Joyner show. He went on to explain that Tamia and Jeffrey Osborne did the same thing and went straignt to the bank.

nod Indeed. That CD cover definitely has some mac appeal. But on the real tip, an solo album by Ernie would be an delite b/c his axe playing is on par no doubt.

It would be terrible, I'm one of those "feeder" types, always over-cooking and over-feeding people when they hang out with me lol One thing at least, is that you KNOW we'd be playing some really great music together, I always looooove all your music threads dancing jig

Yes, and they're both good Christmas albums. Listened to them both the day they came out.

Yeah her cover is too bland and boring. Whoever was in charge of her artwork on the cover should be shot, burned, and maimed.

GOOD 4 them!! I'm glad they did it on their own and got that paper! It's time for more established artists to leave the system.

In total agreement w/both. It don't have to be star studded, because he'd be the only one to shine. Ms Legs i agree, you know The Isley's have been Mackin' Album covers for years.
