no topping "black on both sides".one of the best hip-hop records ever made imo.but this album is okay.a bit more experimental.singing more rock and blues and such.i like his last album "true magic"better than this.it was more cohesize."the new danger" is too long and has a few songs that are borderline filler.neither are as good as "black on both sides",though.a classic.all of them are interesting in their own way.
For all time I am with you, you are with me.

It had some great songs such as Modern Marvel,The Beggar and The Panties but as an album it just didn't work. Apparently it wasn't Mos Def who specificly chose the songs on it. He wanted to do a whole album with the Jack Johnson Band but the label just wasn't having it.

Mine too. Mos Def can sing! I also like his remake of The Isley's Groove with you.

i loved this album from day one! It would've been nice if it were a whole Jack Johnson project, though the non-Jack tracks were pretty delicious.
